BEACH PLEASE: From a school reunion to a youth movement

Original source: BEACH PLEASE · Facebook · Shared 11 Oct 2026

9 years ago, it started as a school reunion.. We had no idea that one clean-up would become hundreds or that a school reunion would eventually turn into a youth movement. Somewhere along the way, I made a life-changing decision. I dropped out of CA and chose to pursue the clean-up movement as a career. It was a leap of faith. And what followed has been one incredible roller coaster - the good days, the bad days, the victories, the setbacks, the doubts, the exhaustion and countless moments that reminded us why we started. 🥲 And looking back, I can honestly say: it was all worth it! ❤️ Today, BEACH PLEASE has grown to 800+ clean-up drives, 90 million kgs of trash removed and 5,50,000+ citizens engaged. But those numbers are really a reflection of the people who made them possible. I might be the face of this campaign, but my team and our volunteers are the backbone of BEACH PLEASE. They keep showing up. They work behind the scenes. They get their hands dirty. They keep this movement alive. ✨ And to everyone who has ever supported BEACH PLEASE, whether you volunteered, shared our work, brought someone along, partnered with us or simply believed in what we were doing — thank you! ❤️ 9 years ago, we came together as school friends. Today, we stand together as a movement! 🤝 #beachpleaseindia #cleanup #swachhbharatmission #genz
